WDUQ, for the past 60 years, has been the home of Jazz in Pittsburgh.  Now some people from outside the community want to steal our money and destroy our station.

The facts are:

Duquesne University under the "leadership" of  Charles J. Dougherty decided to sell something that they are not the sole owner.

Listener (Public) supported (owned) radio on WDUQ.

DU was given the license and ethically should give the license back.

DU has accepted the lowest offer while selling WDUQ.

EPM has already renege on a portion of the offer.

DU is being forced to finance a portion of the offer.

DU is willing to make their students pay EPM for buying WDUQ in the form of unpaid internships offered by EPM under the agreement of sales.

Pittsburgh Public Media offered $ 500,000 more cash for WDUQ, DU ignored them.

PPM pleaded for 42 out of over 100 hours of Jazz programming, EPM ignored them.

EPM is using WYEP as a local connection, EPM is ignoring WYEP.

WYEP hoped to get better bandwidth and equipment from EPM.

EPM plans to go all NPR with Jazz on a sideband, does nothing for WYEP.

EPM will minimize overhead thereby maximizing profits for EPM.

WDUQ will loose support and money but not before EPM gets theirs.

The sale of the 90.5 FM license has recently entered the FCC-required public comment phase. At this time, comments may not be filed electronically. The only way to register a comment is to send a letter to:
